O Weezer é uma banda de Rock Alternativo, mais especificamente Geek Rock, de Los Angeles.

Surgidos em 1992, eles lançaram seu primeiro álbum em 1994, que foi muito bem recebido pela crítica. Pouco antes de Kurt Cobain se suicidar, elogiou a banda, o que a catapultou para o sucesso.

Em 2008, a banda lançou um novo álbum, intitulado Weezer (que, por sinal, é o terceiro álbum com esse nome), e ocorreu algo de muito raro: uma música (Pork and Beans) presente em um álbum lançado 14 anos após o primeiro foi considerada a melhor música já lançada pela banda, tanto pela crítica quanto pelos fãs.

Entre as principais influências da banda, estão KISS, Nirvana e Cheap Trick.
